Charity Events at Elements & Urban Spa Salons in Bishop's Stortford
At Elements and Urban Spa we are known within our community for choosing to raise money for at least one charity a year, often we surpass this, an take part in many events and fund raisers going on in our town.
In the past we have helped to raise money for Isobel Hospice, The Little Princess Trust, Herts Air Ambulance and MacMillan to name just a few. On this page you will find all the information you need about the past and present charity events we are involved with.
Herts Air Ambulance and Silly Cow
During April 2016 we teamed up with Herts Air Ambulance and Home and Eat to raise money a good cause. Many of you may remember us having a large cow in the salon and a smaller cow that visited different business within bishops Stortford. Provided by Home and Eat, Silly Cow (a cow money box) was filled with donations from the community, as it travelled around town and documented its journey through our facebook page. Through Donations and sales of Herts Air Ambulance products we managed to raise a fantastic total of just under £800.
The Little Princess Trust
With every extreme chop that happens in the salon we always give our clients the option to donate their unwanted hair to The Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have sadly lost their own hair through cancer treatment. It is an organisation that is very dear to all our hearts and it makes us happy that we can send clients unwanted hair somewhere where it will be put to good use rather than the bin.
McMillian Coffee Mornings
Aside from getting to eat lots of cakes we choose to regularly get involved with Macmillan coffee mornings because the charity has become one that is important to many members of our team.
Isabel Hospice
Isabel Hospice is a well-loved charity within the Bishops Stortford Community and they are a charity that, like us, enjoys taking part in what’s happening in the town. On many occasions we have raised money to Isobel Hospice with our own events and we always try to support all the events they hold themselves. We have become close to those who work with the charity and often enjoy their company in our salon and spa.
